Budapest Hungary,
May 20, 2008. Dr.
Andrea Holme and Professor Shazib Pervaiz of the National
University of Singapore were awarded a prize from the
International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC) for
their paper, “Automated laser scanning cytometry: A powerful
tool for multi-parameter analysis of drug-induced apoptosis.”
The award, presented at the May 2008 ISAC Congress in Budapest,
recognized the work as the best paper to be published during
2007 in the Society’s professional journal, Cytometry, Part
A.
Their
publication describes the use of slide-based cytometry,
specifically CompuCyte’s
iGeneration laser scanning cytometry (LSC) technology, for
high-content analysis. The authors provide illustrations of how
the technology’s combined cytometric and imaging capabilities
can be successfully applied to the evaluation of target drugs,
obtaining both image analyses and quantification of cellular
events.
