Senior Software Engineer

CompuCyte's LSC^® Laser Scanning Cytometer instrument have been helping researchers since 1996 to advance the frontiers of biological knowledge in basic cell research, and in the areas of molecular pathology, tissue analysis, toxicology, and drug discovery.  Our second generation iGeneration Imaging Cytometer systems bring our high-content analytic capabilities to automated, high-volume cell and tissue applications.

We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to assist in the development of an advanced scientific data acquisition, visualization, and management system.  Responsibilities include gathering user requirements, preparing and presenting specifications, writing software, testing, and supporting internal and external users.  The position involves all areas of our product family.  The environment is flexible and dynamic:  A willingness to investigate new technologies and interact with other teams in the company are critical to success.

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• At least 5 years developing Microsoft .NET and C# application
• Experience in the software development life-cycle in a commercial environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

 One or more of the following areas of expertise are desirable:

• Scientific data acquisition and presentation systems
• User Interface experience
• Database application development (specifically SQL)
• Application packaging and distribution
